Awareness training on human trafficking and migrant exploitation

IOM Norway in coordination with the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) has since the end of April visited emergency reception centers in Norway to inform staff about the risks of human trafficking and migrant exploitation and have held information meetings for Ukrainian refugees with the purpose of providing information about risks in Norway and safe alternatives. The awareness training is targeted towards supporting Ukrainians arriving in Norway. Other key areas of the Project include; the provision of training on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) to provide assistance to victims.

The Project also aims at providing targeted information to Ukrainian nationals on the referral mechanism for the support available in Norway for Victims of Trafficking as well as Labour Rights of Migrants in Norway.
